The Crimson Tide leads the series by a 42-34-1 margin

Most notable matchups: Auburn clinching a national
championship with a win in 1957. The two teams entering
the 1971 game undefeated and victorious Alabama won the
SEC.  1972's incredible Punt Bama Punt game saw Auburn
block two punts and return them for TD's to upset the No. 2
Crimson Tide.
Did you know?:Auburn and Alabama didn't play for 47 years
(1908-1947) as the two schools feuded over referees and
expenses.  The two teams resumed play in 1948 and played
annually in Birmingham for decades.

streak at LSU from 1971-1998. Alabama posted a 14-0-1

Most notable matchup: The 1980 game saw the No. 2
ranked Bulldogs within moments of being upset.  However
WR Lindsey Scott caught a short pass and rambled 92
yards as UGA announcer exclaimed "Run Lindsay!"  The win
enabled Georgia to continue their successful quest for the
1980 national championship.
Did you know?:While there has been great focus on the UF
vs. UT rivalry since the SEC's East division was formed in
1992,  the two schools played sparingly prior to that.  
Between 1915 and 1991, they had met only 21 times.

heat of the Steve Spurrier vs. Phil Fulmer coaching rivalry.  
The Gators once again beat Peyton Manning and the Vols.  
The 35-29 win helped push Florida to their first national
championship season.
Did you know?:The two SEC East rivals disagree on when
the series first began.  UGA says 1904 while Florida says
1915.  Florida's rationale makes more sense to us.

Alabama vs No. 7 Tennessee.  The Vols won 24-13 in
Birmingham and later claimed the 1967 national
championship.
Did you know?:After the SEC expanded to 12 teams,
scheduling revision forced this SEC rivalry to be scheduled
on dates besides the third Saturday of October.  Also
following the 1961 Alabama win that marked Bear Bryant's
first coaching appearance in this rivalry, a team trainer
handed out victory cigars.  The tradition lasted decades until
the NCAA nipped it in the bud.
ESPN's Beano Cook once said
about this rivalry, "Don't get
married on the third Saturday in
October and try not to die.  If
you do, the preacher might not
show up."
Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State - The Egg Bowl
The Rebels lead the series by a 62-42-6 margin
First meeting: Oct 28, 1901: MSU 17 - Om 0

Most notable matchup: The 1983 game saw an "Act of God"
influence the final outcome.  Mississippi State's chip shot
field goal to win the game was stopped just short of the
crossbar by a sudden 40-mph wind blast that preserved  a
Rebel victory.
Did you know?:The Egg Bowl gets it name from the near
egg-shaped football trophy that the two schools have played
for since 1927.  Back then, footballs featured a more oval
shape than they do now.

finished the season undefeated with a 13-0 record.
Did you know?:The annual contest is known as the "Deep
South's Oldest Rivalry."  The two SEC rivals played in the
conference's first overtime game.  The 1996 game finished
28-28 in regulation before Georgia won 56-49 in OT.  
Legend has it that Auburn's "War Eagle" rally cry gained flight
in the school's 1892 game.  An eagle broke free from a Civil
War veteran and began circling the field.  Auburn fans began
chanting "War Eagle.

Most notable matchups: The 2006-2008s game were
"crowning" jewels as the winner of the SEC rivalry surged to
a national championship for three years in a row.  The
Gators win in 2006 and 2008 while the Tigers roared in
2007.
Did you know?:Although in separate divisions, Florida and
LSU have been locked in as permanent opponents since
1973.  The two schools have played annually since.   While
the TV execs and fans love the game, LSU has been vocal
about their desire to not have to play Florida every year.

UGA may lead this rivalry by a 47-17-2 margin
through 2013, but the Ole Ball Coach has the
Gamecocks on the rise.  .
Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt
UT leads the series 73-29-5, but the
Commodores have been rising recently and in
2012 spanked the Vols by a 41-18 score.
Texas A&M vs. Alabama, LSU and
Arkansas

salivating for payback after Johnny Football and
company stunned them in T-Town.  LSU and the
